Job Description
This position involves working with middle and high school students, focusing on diverse communication needs, including a specialized Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments to students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to facilitate effective communication strategies.
- Deliver direct therapy services and monitor student progress in alignment with IEP goals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Active or in-process Illinois state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- PEL certification in process or able to receive by August.
- Experience in school settings, particularly with pediatric populations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
Location:
- Aurora, IL, serving at one middle school and one high school.
