An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled professional to provide essential speech-language pathology services in an elementary school setting. This role focuses on covering a maternity leave, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young students from August to November.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) status in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with preschool to first-grade students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Knowledge of speech and language disorders and relevant intervention strategies
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Location:
- Bolingbrook, IL
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and maintain appropriate IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students goals
- Conduct regular progress monitoring and document outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a comprehensive support system
- Manage a caseload of 45 to 55 students, primarily in preschool through first grade
