Job Description
A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist is sought for a high school setting in Bridgeport, CT, for an extended school year contract. This position involves working with a diverse student population, providing critical support to enhance communication skills among learners in grades 7 through 12. The role is focused on a part-time schedule, allowing for a meaningful yet balanced professional commitment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist Certification
- Experience in school settings, particularly with high school students
- Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with educators and staff
- Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement appropriate IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Conduct group and individual therapy sessions in a supportive and structured environment
