Job Description
A dynamic educational environment is seeking a dedicated and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support students from Pre-K through 8th grade. This part-time position spans two days a week, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of approximately 15 students.
Qualifications:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Professional Educator License (PEL)
- CCC certification preferred
- Experience in school settings, particularly with K-8 students
- Background in healthcare speech therapy is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
Location: Chicago, IL
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement appropriate therapy plans tailored to individual student goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required by state regulations
- Provide direct therapy services and monitor students during sessions
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of strategies for student success
