An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist seeking to make a meaningful impact in an elementary school setting. This position is located in Chicago, IL, and focuses on providing essential communication support to students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. The role is designed to extend through the full semester, allowing for a deep and lasting influence on the students' educational journeys.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure and certification
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Familiarity with SLD, OHI, DD, and ED student needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Competency in providing both direct and indirect speech services
Location:
- Chicago, IL (Elementary School)
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language services
- Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
- Manage a caseload of approximately 40 students
