An opportunity is available for a skilled professional to engage with students in a K-12 school setting in Chicago, IL. This temporary position is designed to cover a maternity leave, spanning from May to July, and requires a dedicated professional ready to make a meaningful impact on student communication needs.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state CCC-SLP licensure
- Prior experience in a school environment is preferred, but not mandatory
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Location: Chicago, IL
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and parents
- Deliver therapeutic services in accordance with IEP goals
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support overall student development
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
