Job Description
An elementary school in Clinton Township, MI is seeking a dedicated professional to provide speech-language pathology services for the upcoming school year. This full-time position focuses on supporting students with diverse communication needs, ensuring that each child receives the appropriate guidance and intervention.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellow Year (SLP-CFY) credentials.
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged students.
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills to identify student needs.
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families.
- Knowledge of current best practices in speech and language therapy.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities and determine eligibility for services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students requiring speech and language therapy.
- Provide direct therapy to students on your caseload, utilizing appropriate techniques and materials.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall developmental goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes as required by school policies.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
