Job Description
An opportunity exists for a skilled professional to provide essential speech-language pathology services in a K-12 educational setting. This contract position is based in Commerce City, CO, for the duration of the school year, allowing for a meaningful impact on students' communication needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other health professionals
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose communication disorders in students, developing tailored treatment plans
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, ensuring individualized support
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom
- Conduct regular progress evaluations and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation of services provided
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
