Job Description
An opportunity awaits for a skilled professional specializing in SLP services. This position is set in a K-12 educational environment with a focus on supporting students and their communication needs for the upcoming school year.
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in SLP
- Masters degree in SLP or related field
- Valid state license to practice as a SLP
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
- Develop and maintain IEPs, ensuring compliance with all regulations
- Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to individual student goals
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for staff on speech and language development
