Job Description
An opportunity exists for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide services in an engaging elementary school environment. This position is set for the full semester, offering the chance to make a significant impact on the communication skills of students ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade.
Location: Des Plaines, IL
Caseload: Approximately 40 students, including both direct and consultative speech services.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine student speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech-language disorders.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy as well as consultative services.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and IEP documentation.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong assessment and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
