Job Description
This position is designed for the full-time duration of the school year, catering to a diverse student population ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade. Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they hold a SLP-A certification, as both SLPs and SLP-As will be considered.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or SLP-A
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in school settings
- Strong assessment, evaluation, and IEP development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals
Location: Dexter, ME
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to assess students speech and language needs
- Provide appropriate speech-language services and interventions
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students' communication goals
- Manage caseload and maintain documentation as required
- Travel between campuses as needed to serve students
