Speech and Language Pathologist in Dexter, ME

Job Description

This position is designed for the full-time duration of the school year, catering to a diverse student population ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade. Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they hold a SLP-A certification, as both SLPs and SLP-As will be considered.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
• Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or SLP-A
• Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in school settings
• Strong assessment, evaluation, and IEP development skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals

Location: Dexter, ME

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations to assess students speech and language needs
• Provide appropriate speech-language services and interventions
• Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students' communication goals
• Manage caseload and maintain documentation as required
• Travel between campuses as needed to serve students
