An opportunity exists for a skilled professional to provide specialized speech-language services in an educational setting. This role focuses on supporting K-12 students with diverse language needs, particularly within a multicultural environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license or certification.
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-8 students.
- Proficiency in conducting language screenings and assessments.
- Strong ability to develop and implement Response to Intervention (RtI) plans.
- Cultural competence in working with students from varied backgrounds, especially Nepali and Kinyarwanda speakers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Location:
Dublin, OH
Responsibilities:
- Conduct language screenings for kindergarten students and evaluate speech and language needs.
- Collaborate with education staff to identify students requiring speech and language services.
- Develop and facilitate language RtI groups to support students ongoing communication skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for each student served.
- Provide targeted interventions for students with speech and language delays.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies for support.
