Job Description

An exciting part-time opportunity is available for a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist looking to make a significant impact in the lives of students. This role is set in a K-12 educational environment in Edgewood, NM, and will involve working four days a week with a diverse caseload of approximately 27 to 28 students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working in a school setting, particularly with K-12 students.
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals.

Location: Edgewood, NM

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy programs that align with each students needs and IEP goals.
  • Regularly assess and document student progress, adapting therapy as necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and staff regarding speech therapy progress.
  • Provide guidance and training to school personnel and parents for the effective carryover of skills.
  • Establish a positive and structured learning environment that promotes appropriate student behaviors.
