Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to take on a temporary position covering maternity leave from May to July. This role is situated in Elgin, IL, within a K-12 school setting, and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' communication needs during the remainder of the school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to create a comprehensive support plan.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices in therapy sessions, including teletherapy as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and treatment outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
  • Prior experience in a school environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and staff.
