An opportunity exists for skilled professionals to provide essential SLP services in an engaging K-12 school environment. This contract position is located in Eugene, OR, for the duration of the school year, allowing for meaningful contributions to students' communication needs.
Qualifications:
- Certification (CCC-SLP)
- Masters degree in SLP or related field
- Valid state licensure as a SLP
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff and families
Location:
Eugene, OR
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents
- Provide direct therapy services to students requiring speech and language support
- Monitor and document students progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive educational environment
- Engage families in the therapeutic process to enhance students communication skills
