An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled professional passionate about enhancing the communication abilities of students in a K-12 setting. This contract position, located in Florence, AZ, focuses on providing tailored speech-language pathology services to meet the diverse needs of students from preschool through 12th grade.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders
- State SLP Licensure
- Prior experience in a school environment is preferred, though not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other health professionals
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy and teletherapy is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech therapy
- Provide direct therapy services in compliance with IEP objectives
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive educational environment
