Job Description
An opportunity exists for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist seeking to make a meaningful impact in a middle school setting. This contract position is located in Glendale, AZ, and encompasses the full semester, allowing for the provision of consistent support to students in need of speech and language services.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Arizona
- CCC-SLP certification
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with middle school-aged students
- Ability to supervise and collaborate with Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Location: Glendale, AZ
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments to students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for a caseload of 40-50 students
- Deliver direct therapy services in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to facilitate students communication needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and interventions
- Supervise and mentor an SLPA, fostering professional growth and collaboration
