An opportunity is available for a skilled professional specializing in school-based speech-language pathology. This contract position is set for the 2025-2026 academic year, focusing on providing essential support to students within a K-12 educational environment in Green Valley, AZ. The role involves collaboration with educators, parents, and other specialists to enhance students' communication skills and address diverse needs.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with disabilities such as Autism, SLI, DD, and OHI
- Strong assessment and formulation skills for individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Location:
- Green Valley, Arizona
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement appropriate IEP goals and strategies tailored to individual students
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to facilitate communication interventions
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Provide guidance and support to SLPA as needed
- Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings
