Job Description
A skilled professional is sought to provide speech-language pathology services in a K-12 school setting for a contract position covering a leave of absence. This role involves working primarily within autistic support classrooms, catering to a diverse caseload of 29 students ranging from kindergarten to age 21.
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with students with autism
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of IEPs and related documentation processes
Location:
Greensburg, PA
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students requiring speech-language pathology services
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students on your caseload
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to support students communication needs
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy as necessary
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to overall student support
- Maintain professional documentation and comply with all relevant regulations
