An opportunity exists for a dedicated specialist to provide essential support in an elementary school setting. This part-time position calls for a skilled professional ready to contribute 15 hours per week over 2.5 days, delivering impactful speech and language services to students.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with a CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Valid state licensure
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and support staff
Location: Groton, CT - Elementary School
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student
- Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students' overall communication goals
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development and needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and progress made
