An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled SLP looking to make a meaningful impact in an elementary school setting. This position focuses on supporting students with diverse needs, including those in the Autism Support program, and involves collaboration with educators to enhance communication skills across various grade levels.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC or CFY)
- Experience in school settings, particularly with elementary students
- Proficient in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with students with varying abilities, including those with Autism
Location:
- Hagerstown, MD
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and maintain a caseload of 30-35 elementary students
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom
- Conduct regular progress monitoring and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Facilitate communication with families regarding student progress and needs
- Implement strategies for students in both the Autism Support and regular education settings
