This full-time position involves working dsitrcit-wide across various classrooms, supporting students from kindergarten through eighth grade. The role is set to commence as soon as possible and continue through the end of the school year, allowing for immediate integration into the team and engagement with students.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY)
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-8 students
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to professional development and best practices in therapy
Location: Harvey, IL
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement appropriate IEPs tailored to students needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as required
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress made
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
