Job Description
A skilled SLP is sought for an exciting opportunity in Huntington, IN. This full-time position focuses on providing comprehensive communication support within a K-12 school environment, fostering an inclusive and effective learning atmosphere for all students.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students with speech and language needs following a 3:1 workload modelthree weeks of therapy followed by one week of indirect work.
- Collaborate with a team of fellow SLPs to enhance educational outcomes through the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain a manageable caseload with a focus on severe and profound students to ensure quality service delivery.
- Participate in weekly and monthly staff meetings to discuss student progress and strategies for overcoming challenges.
- Complete necessary documentation, including service logs for Medicaid, to support compliance and funding requirements.
Qualifications:
- Active Indiana teaching certification and SLP license.
- CCC-SLP preferred; Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply.
- Experience in pediatric speech-language therapy, particularly within school settings.
- Familiarity with Indiana IEP software is a plus.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with staff and students.
