Job Description
An exciting part-time position for a specialist looking to create a meaningful impact in a dynamic K-12 educational setting. This position focuses on providing exceptional support to students from Pre-K through 8th grade, catering to their diverse communication needs. This contract is for the 2025-26 school year with 2 days per week, 8:00am-4:00pm, and a caseload of about 15 students.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC)
- Experience in healthcare and school settings
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop tailored therapy plans
Location:
- Joliet, IL
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy services to a caseload of approximately 15 students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to facilitate effective interventions
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and outcomes
