An opportunity awaits for an experienced professional to provide essential support within a K-12 educational setting. This full-time role focuses on serving students with visual impairments, ensuring that each individual receives the guidance and resources necessary for their success.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Kansas state license in SLP.
  • Experience working with K-12, particularly those with special needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff and students.
  • Ability to implement push-in services within the classroom.
  • Prior experience managing a caseload of students, preferably around 20.

Location:

  • Kansas City, MO, within a supportive K-12 school environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for students with visual impairments.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement push-in services, facilitating inclusive learning experiences.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.
  • Engage in regular communication with students, parents, and educational staff regarding student development and needs.
