A dynamic educational environment in Kokomo, IN, is seeking a skilled candidate to provide part-time support to elementary students. This role focuses on facilitating communication development for children in grades K-4, utilizing various therapeutic techniques and tools, including AAC devices.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Communicative Disorders or a related field
- Valid Indiana SLP License
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary students
- Proficient in using AAC devices and integrating them into therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Location: Kokomo, IN
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to support student goals
- Utilize appropriate therapy techniques, including the use of AAC devices when necessary
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of students progress and interventions
- Conduct therapy sessions three days a week for K-4th grade students
