An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled professional in Lawrenceville, GA. This position involves working in an elementary school setting with a focus on K-12 students, providing essential speech and language services.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY)
- Valid Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist License
- GA PSC Teaching Certification or the ability to obtain one as the school year begins
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with educational staff and parents
Location: Lawrenceville, GA (Elementary School Environment)
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Deliver direct therapy services to students with identified speech and language needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement strategies that support students communication skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required by the school.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
- Stay updated on best practices in SLP and educational resources.
