Job Description
An opportunity exists for dedicated professionals to provide critical speech-language services in an early childhood educational setting. Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)
- Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) supervision experience
- Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with preschool-aged children
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other specialists
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of early childhood development and communication disorders
Location:
Lincoln, NE
Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide therapy for students with speech and language disorders, developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment in preschool classrooms
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement strategies that support students' communication needs
- Manage a caseload of PK (3-5 year old) students, ensuring tailored and effective intervention
- Conduct regular progress assessments and adjust therapy goals as needed
- Engage and educate families regarding their child's progress and strategies to support development
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a holistic approach to student care
