Job Description
A dedicated professional is sought to provide specialized speech-language pathology services within a K-12 school environment. This role focuses on supporting students' communication needs, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and intervention to thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and staff
- Proficient in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Location:
- Lorain, OH
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students speech and language needs
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual students
- Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support students overall development
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate student records
- Educate and support families regarding speech and language development and concerns
