Job Description

Dynamic opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized support in an elementary school setting. This position is designed for the upcoming maternity leave, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact on students communication needs from May 11, 2025, to June 18, 2025.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Previous experience working with elementary students, particularly in grade 4/5
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and related processes

Location:

  • Lowell, MA

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct therapy to students requiring speech and language support
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom
  • Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy as needed
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP discussions
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and needs
