Job Description
A speech-language pathologist with a focus on school-based therapy is needed to support students in Madison, AL, for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time contract position spans two elementary sites, starting in August. The role requires a dedicated professional who understands the unique dynamics of providing speech therapy within an educational framework.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience in a school environment is preferred
- Strong understanding of school-based speech therapy practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and implement appropriate therapy plans
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
