Job Description
An opportunity awaits for a skilled SLP to support students in a dynamic middle school environment. This contract position is based in Manchester, NH, for the duration of the school year, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact on the communication skills of adolescents.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in SLP or related field
- Current state licensure as a SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, parents, and other professionals
- Familiarity with IEPs and the special education process
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators
- Provide direct therapy services to students requiring speech and language support
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate language goals into the classroom
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and needs
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
