An opportunity is available for a skilled professional seeking a part-time role in a K-12 educational setting for the 2025-2026 school year. This position involves providing specialized speech-language services to students ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade, ensuring that each individual receives the support they need to thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Knowledge of various speech and language disorders and their treatments
- Capacity to manage a caseload of no more than 30 students
Location:
Melvindale, MI
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement appropriate therapy plans based on individual assessments
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to support students' overall development
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required
- Provide direct therapy services to students and adjust techniques as needed
- Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities
