Job Description
An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist seeking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students. This position is designed for the full semester, allowing for the development and implementation of therapeutic strategies tailored to K-6 graders.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience working in a school setting, particularly with elementary students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and related processes
Location:
Mishawaka, IN
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Provide direct therapy services to a caseload of 60-70 K-6 students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and IEP goals
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other required activities
