Job Description
An opportunity exists for a skilled professional to support students in a dynamic K-12 educational environment. This part-time position involves working with 15-20 students, including two nonverbal individuals who utilize AAC devices, over the course of the school year from August 18, 2025, to May 21, 2026. The role is focused on providing tailored communication support to enhance the students' educational experiences.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP - CCC)
- Experience with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings (SLP - School)
- Proficient in using and implementing AAC devices
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs
- Previous experience working with nonverbal students is a plus
Location:
- Monett, MO
Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech and language services
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to a varied caseload, focusing on effective communication strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
