Job Description
Opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide essential speech and language services within an educational setting. This role is focused on supporting middle school students with a severe-profound student population, many of whom require Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with middle school-aged students, particularly those with special needs
- Familiarity with AAC tools and technology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
Location:
- Morton, IL
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students requiring speech and language therapy
- Deliver approximately 35 hours per month of direct therapy services
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to implement IEPs and monitor student progress
- Utilize AAC devices to enhance communication skills for students who need them
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to student needs
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
