Job Description

We are seeking a specialist with a focus on providing comprehensive support to high school students, addressing a range of communication needs. You will form enduring connections with students and colleagues alike, enriching your professional journey with fulfilling experiences.

Location: New Haven, CT

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with faculty and parents.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students requiring speech and language intervention.
  • Facilitate IEP meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment on student goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Active Connecticut state speech-language pathology license.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) status.
  • Experience working with high school-aged students in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of feeding and swallowing disorders is preferred.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is a plus.
