A dynamic opportunity is available for a qualified specialist in New York, NY, within a K-12 school setting. This full-time role is essential in providing targeted communication support to students, enabling them to achieve their educational and communicative goals.
Location: New York, NY
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to a varied caseload, encompassing ten 30-minute sessions per day.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and treatment outcomes.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and adapt strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP - CCC).
- Experience in school settings, particularly with elementary, middle, and high school students.
- Active New York Speech-Language Pathologist license and TSSLD.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
