An opportunity is available for a skilled SLP to support students in a K-12 educational setting in Newark, DE. This role is focused on addressing the communication needs of students from elementary to middle school levels, ensuring that each child receives the guidance and support necessary for their development.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP - CCC)
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings (SLP - Pediatrics, SLP - School)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff and parents
- Active or pending Delaware licensure
- Background check clearance required
- Spanish language skills are a plus but not mandatory
Location:
- Newark, DE
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and parents
- Deliver direct therapy services and monitor student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student needs and progress
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student outcomes
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families regarding progress and strategies
