An opportunity for a skilled SLP has arisen in Newark, DE, focusing on a K-12 school environment. This position is designed for professionals eager to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills from August 13th onwards.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings
- Familiarity with the needs of students in elementary and middle schools
- Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
- Active or pending Delaware state licensure
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and families
Location:
- Newark, DE
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech and language support
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement communication goals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on student needs
- Ensure compliance with all state and school district regulations regarding speech and language services
