An exciting opportunity is available for dedicated professionals in the field of speech-language pathology. This contract position is based in Newport News, VA, within a K-12 school setting, and is designed to extend through the full semester, with the potential for renewal for the 2025-2026 school year.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Virginia
- CCC-SLP (Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) preferred
- Recent graduates (SLP-CFY) are welcome to apply
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Location:
Newport News, Virginia
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff
- Serve a full-time K-12 caseload, engaging students from various grade levels
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' needs
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
