An opportunity is available for a skilled professional to provide essential speech pathology services in an elementary school setting. This contract position is located in Newport News, VA, and is designed for the upcoming school year, running from August 11 to June 15.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY).
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-age students.
- Valid state license for speech-language pathology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech therapy.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in accordance with IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support students overall communication goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy outcomes.
