Job Description
An opportunity exists for skilled SLPs to contribute to the academic success and communication development of students in a K-12 school setting. This contract position is for the full semester, with the potential for renewal into the next school year.
Qualifications:
- Active SLP license in Virginia
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) status
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Proficient in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
Location: Norfolk, VA
Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate communication goals into the classroom
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Conduct group and individual therapy sessions
