Job Description
An opportunity is available for a skilled professional to support students in an engaging K-12 educational environment. This contract position is based in Oakland, CA, and involves a part-time schedule of three days per week, focusing on a diverse caseload ranging from preschool to eighth grade.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license
- CCC-SLP certification
- Experience working with early childhood and elementary-aged students
- Familiarity with special education needs, particularly Autism and Intellectual Disabilities
- Strong case management skills
Location: Oakland, CA
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students requiring speech and language services
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students on your caseload
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support students' needs
- Manage a caseload of 30-35 students, with a focus on 10 speech-only cases
- Implement appropriate interventions and monitor student progress
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and strategies for support
