Job Description

An engaging opportunity awaits for a skilled professional in an educational setting. This position focuses on supporting K-12 students who are blind or low vision, providing essential communication services tailored to their needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Kansas speech-language pathology license
  • Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with special needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and other specialists
  • Familiarity with push-in service models

Location:

  • Olathe, KS (Onsite)

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and manage a caseload of around 20 students, delivering appropriate speech and language services
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teaching staff
  • Provide mostly push-in services to support students within the classroom
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student progress
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment
