An engaging opportunity awaits for a skilled professional in an educational setting. This position focuses on supporting K-12 students who are blind or low vision, providing essential communication services tailored to their needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas speech-language pathology license
- Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and other specialists
- Familiarity with push-in service models
Location:
- Olathe, KS (Onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage a caseload of around 20 students, delivering appropriate speech and language services
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teaching staff
- Provide mostly push-in services to support students within the classroom
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment
