An opportunity is available for a skilled professional to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This role focuses on providing services to a diverse student population, specifically those who are blind or low vision. The position is based in Overland Park, KS, and spans the 2025-2026 school year.
Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas SLP license
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with visual impairments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement push-in services effectively
- Proficiency in developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
Location: Overland Park, KS
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement appropriate interventions
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required
- Develop and adapt instructional materials to meet the needs of students
- Conduct IEP meetings and participate in multidisciplinary team discussions
