Job Description
In a supportive K-12 educational environment, professionals will provide specialized speech-language pathology services to students during the extended school year. This contract position is located in Palo Alto, CA, where dedicated individuals will play a crucial role in enhancing students' communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Licensed in Speech-Language Pathology
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Experience working with K-12 students, preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with various speech and language disorders
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and parents
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Conduct screenings to identify students who may require further evaluation
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students overall development
- Provide support and resources to families regarding speech and language development
