An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled professional in Pearland, TX, within an engaging elementary school environment. This position focuses on supporting students in grades 3 through 5, addressing a diverse range of communication needs for the upcoming school year.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Possession of or willingness to obtain Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Proficient in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Location:
- Pearland, TX
Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide intervention for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement tailored therapy plans to meet individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to facilitate effective communication strategies in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required by the school
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and other necessary school functions
- Provide consultation to parents and staff regarding student needs and progress
