An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled professional within an educational setting. This part-time position is designed for the 2025-2026 school year, focusing on a high-school caseload with approximately 15 students. The role spans two days a week, requiring around 15 hours of service.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Communicative Disorders or a related field
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Illinois
- Professional Educator License (PEL) Certification
- Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with high school students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Location:
- Pekin, IL, serving a high school environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy as needed
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty regarding student needs and progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive educational atmosphere
