Job Description

An opportunity exists for a skilled SLP specializing in school settings. This position is designed to provide comprehensive support to elementary students during a leave of absence, offering an engaging and therapeutic environment that fosters communication development.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborate with educators and parents

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide diagnosis for students with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students communication goals
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as required
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
