Job Description
An opportunity exists for a skilled SLP specializing in school settings. This position is designed to provide comprehensive support to elementary students during a leave of absence, offering an engaging and therapeutic environment that fosters communication development.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborate with educators and parents
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide diagnosis for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students communication goals
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as required
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
